In January 2008, a group of people with experience in health cooperation projects on one hand, and environmental projects of another, we joined together to create the Sol Solidari. The common objective was to carry out projects in developing countries to improve the quality of life of the people, while at the same time safeguarding the environment.
We focused at first on the introduction of solar cookers, because this tool provides huge environmental, social, health and economic benefits. But we have been diversifying the used tools over the years and are currently working mainly with solar energy and solar dryers, plus also introducing other related technologies, like solar ovens and improved stoves.
