In the month of January 2008 a group of people got together to create SOL SOLIDARI. Some people had a lot of experience in cooperative health projects and some others had worked in the environmental field.

The common goal was to realize projects in countries on their way to development to improve people's quality of life while at the same time safeguarding the environment.
The idea was at the start to focus on the introduction of solar cookers because this is a tool that helps to create important environmental, social, sanitary and economical benefits. However, during these three years we have been diversifying and at the moment we are introducing different related technologies: solar ovens, economic cookers, rocket stoves, hay baskets retaining warmth and solar installations to produce light.
